Iliacan, Compañía de Danza de Alvaro de la Peña.

Álvaro de la Peña created Iliacan in august 1993. The name ILIACAN come from the Arabic work "aliacan" used in southern Spain and suggests a bewitchment.

We feel it's important to explain this to you. Because we, as others who dedicate time to what they desire and commit themselves by personal choice. They will be a bit bewitched, with no doubt and touched by the invisible hand of destiny, which on a daily basis is hardly definable. But it's a choice. In our case and with our dance we hope to exert on the spectator a kind of separation of emotions or thoughts. If we manage to achieve this, we'll be satisfy knowing that our work has moved you.. . This is our job, nothing else.
